Watch: Bricknasty share video for new single 'Go Get That Blade'

Ballymun collective Bricknasty have unveiled the music video for their new single, 'Go Get That Blade'.

The track follows their 2024 mixtape XONGZ አስቀያሚ ጡብ, which was released under indie label FAMM last October.

Produced by visual artist and producer nrthrd (Ryan Carroll), the video combines surreal digitally animated graphics with clips of video games and footage of Ballymun.

Religious imagery, such as prayer cards, completes the visual concept, matching the song's psychedelic soundscape and confrontational lyrics.

Bricknasty consists of frontman and guitarist Fatboy, producer Cillian McCauley, bassist Dara Abdurahman, Korey Thomas on drums, and Louise Younge on saxophone and keys.

The group deals in a mix of genres, including R&B, neo soul, and hip-hop, and draws inspiration from the likes of D’Angelo, MF Doom, and Timbaland.

After their performance at All Together Now in late July, the band will accompany Belfast rappers KNEECAP for a string of shows in Europe and North America this autumn.

Bricknasty have also announced multiple gigs in the UK and Ireland for November and December, including dates in Galway, Belfast, Cork, and Limerick.

They will end the year with their biggest Irish headline show to date at Dublin's 3Olympia Theatre on December 6.
