Brand Confirmed For O2 Dublin Show
The controversial British comedian Russell Brand has just announced his debut O2 Dublin show.
Brand, who was embroiled earlier this year in the controversy over what was branded an "obscene" phone call to the actor Andrew Sachs that almost cost Jonathan Ross his career with the BBC, hits the O2 on 10th November 2009. We are told this will be the last chance to see Brand's hugely popular ‘Scandalous Tour’.
The show is in support of Focus12 charity, which deals with all aspects of addiction and helped Russell overcome his past addiction problems. Russell has been a patron of Focus12 since 2005.
Russell also releases his third DVD ‘Scandalous – Live At The O2’, on November 9th. The highly-charged set was recorded at Russell’s sold out show at the O2 in London. "He rolls out two hours of boundary pushing, fantastically original material, confronting ideas that others would never dream of voicing," a spokesman told Hot Press.
Tickets are €38, including booking fee, and go on sale on Monday 12th October.
