Bono, Gavin Friday and Maurice Seezer team up for charity
The trio collaborate on a version of Peter and the Wolf in aid of the Irish Hospice Foundation
Bono, Gavin Friday and Maurice Seezer have combined their talents to help raise money for the Irish Hospice Foundation.
The Friday-Seezer Ensemble, as they are affectionately known, recorded a modern version of the classic children’s tale Peter And The Wolf, incorporating the mandolin, accordion and banjo. The recording is to be presented alongside a 64-page clothbound book featuring illustrations by U2’s Bono, and his daughters Eve and Jordan.
The 16 illustrations will form a touring exhibition, which calls at City Hall, Dublin, from October 1-3; Christie’s, King St., London, from October 6-8; Christie’s, Los Angeles, from October 13-15 and Christies, Rockefeller Plaza, New York, from November 20-21.
