Bon Jovi's Richie Sambora drops out of tour
The band have cited personal issues as the reason for his departure...
Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora will not be performing on the upcoming leg of the bands Because We Can tour.
The band's website released a statement that said:
"Due to personal issues, Richie Sambora will not be performing on this upcoming leg. All shows will go on as scheduled."
The 53-year-old who has struggled with alcohol abuse and has done several stints in rehab in the past, Tweeted fans on Wednesday to say that he was well.
"Thank you everyone for your concern," Sambora said on Twitter. "I'm well, but had to stay in LA to take care of a personal matter. Love you all and see you very soon."
That Tweet might be good news for fans hoping to see the guitarist in action when Bon Jovi visit Slane Castle on Saturday, June 15.
