From Friday's 'hide-in-your-tent' downpours to Sunday night's supermoon, this past weekend's Body and Soul gave punters plenty to discover, as they pitched up on the grounds of Ballinlough Castle for one of Ireland's most flourishing festivals.
It's safe to say the announcement of this year's line-up was a clear indication that festival promoters wanted to expand the Westmeath shindig with a much broader spectrum of musical genres acknowledged by the bill.
The result was evidenced by one of the most diverse crowds the 3-day event has welcomed since its foundation, as punters of all ages and musical backgrounds explored the picturesque grounds of Ballinlough Castle in search of some of the talent on show.
Former LCD Soundsystem frontman James Murphy kicked things off in electrifying fashion at the Midnight Circus on the Friday with a disco-heavy set that shone without any overindulgence on the part of the New Jersey producer.
Festival headliners Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds put in one of their finest displays to date at the Body and Soul stage on the Saturday while Beyonce's little sis Solange really announced herself to some curious festival-goers, who were eager to hear what the younger Knowles sibling had to say for herself.

Despite Friday's mini-monsoon, the weather cleared up perfectly, leaving performers and festival-goers alike, gazing at the mystical moon which illuminated the entire campsite on the Sunday night.
All in all, Body and Soul lived up to its growing reputation, with many fans already looking ahead to next year's celebrations.
