Bob Dylan to release The Rolling Thunder Revue: the 1976 Live Recordings

Bob Dylan will release a new album of live show recordings, The Rolling Thunder Revue: the 1976 Live Recordings, on November 6. It will be available as a boxed set of 39 CDs, preserving every performance of Dylan's 27-date tour in April and May of 1976.

The 1976 Live Recordings comprises 381 tracks, of which all but ten are previously unreleased. The Fort Worth, Texas show of May 16 is captured in full as 3 LPs.

Photos, as well as notes by music journalist Mikal Gilmore, are also included.

Single 'Going, Going, Gone' is out now.

The '76 tour included duets with Joan Baez on 'Blowin' in the Wind' and 'Railroad Boy'.

Dylan's band comprised bassist Rob Stoner, violinist Scarlet Rivera, drummer Howie Wyeth, and guitarists T Bone Burnett and Mick Ronson. The latter was also one of David Bowie's Spiders from Mars.

His 1975 performances have also been made into an album, The Rolling Thunder Revue: The 1975 Live Recordings, released in 2019.

Dylan's many tours have earned the nickname 'The Neverending Tour', ongoing since 1988, interrupted only by health issues and the Coronavirus pandemic. His most recent Dublin concert was last November.
