Blossoms score UK No. 1
Self-titled debut from the Stockport rockers tops the chart
The eponymous debut album from Blossoms has entered the UK Charts with a silver bullet, flying straight to top spot.
The English quintet also became the year's highest selling British debut in the process.
Over here, the album entered the charts at No. 12, with Christine & The Queens retaining pole position – though a rise in its second week seems far from out of the question.
In reaction to the news, the band enthused: "We're absolutely made up that the album has gone to Number 1. From the scaffolding yard to the top of the charts, who'd have thought it? Viva Stockport!"
