Black Keys album update
The duo are back in 2013.
They've been gigging the holy heck out of El Camino all 2012 (including an August show in Dublin's O2 that confirmed just how big the duo have become), but you can expect plenty of Black Keys activity next year.
Drummer Patrick Carney has confirmed that himself and Dan Auerbach will start working on the follow-up early next year.
"It's just a matter of how long it takes us to make the album and deciding when we want to get back on the road," Carney explains to CBS Local.
"We’re going to start making a new album in January and we’re going to tour a little more in the spring. Our plan is the have the new album done by the end of spring or earlier, then hopefully take a few months off to do normal things like go to bed early and wake up early, walk the dog, that kind of stuff. Then we’ll probably be back on the road starting next fall."
Considering they played Tripod the time previous to their O2 date, logic would suggest that the next time we see them live, they'll be bringing bluesy garage rock to Croker.
