BIIRD announce show at Belfast’s Limelight 1 for 2025
Tickets go on sale next Friday, 29th November.
Irish trad supergroup BIIRD have unveiled a gig next year at Limelight 1 in Belfast for 23rd May 2025.
Tickets go on sale next Friday, 29th November via Ticketmaster.
Having recently burst on the scene, the 11-piece trad supergroup are already making a name for themselves with their wondrous blend of traditional airs.
They made their debut during Paddy’s Day 2024 at Trafalgar Square in London’s buzzing city centre to 10,000 people and caused an immediate frenzy. Since then, BIIRD have gone out to sell out three headline shows and pack out the big tent at All Together Now in August.
Coming together over the years through their shared love for trad and subsequently becoming best mates, BIIRD bring a truly unique collective energy to the stage with their infectious trad energy and undeniably danceable tunes.
The supergroup is led by Lisa Canny, a seven-time All-Ireland champion on harp and banjo, as well as an acclaimed songwriter and producer. Other members include Laura Jo (vocals), Zoran Donohoe (harp), Sal Heneghan (violin, harp, piano), Miadhachlughain O’Donnell (vocals), Aisling Sage (violin, fiddle), Niamh Hinchy (vocals), Aoife Kelly (violin), Ciara Ní Mhurchú (fiddle), Hannah Hiemstra (drums), Claire Loughran (uilleann pipes, flute, harp).
