Beautiful Boy

Having made a modest splash with her sweetly grungey debut EP, Kick, Femmepop, aka Cork-born, London-based singer Margaret O’Sullivan is almost ready to follow up with a full-length album, and offering up lightly psychedelic single ‘Beautiful Boy’ by way of an appetite-whetter. A doe-eyed tale of infatuation, the shufflesome guitar-led number earns no points for lyrical originality, a shortcoming that’s compensated for with a sinister pop melody and immersive, escalating, hook.
