Barack Obama Gets Advance Preview of Game of Thrones Season 6

We like to imagine Obama sparring around with Congress in true Stark style in his reformed Westeros Wing.
In a press conference yesterday, the helm producers of the show David Benioff and Dan Weiss confirmed that Obama got an advance showing of Season 6. "I think, for both of us, finding out the President wanted advanced copies of the episodes was an 'ah-ha' moment," Weiss laughed. "That was a very strange moment."
No doubt there are plenty of irked die-hard fans and journalists damning Obama but just goes to show the influence being the American President. This is the first season that will outrun the storyline of the books so HBO have kept Season 6 under lock and key from any outsiders, until now of course. Obama is the only person to have seen GoT outside of HBO.
Long-time follower of the show, Obama revealed to GQ that his favourite character is none other than the mischievous Tyrion Lannister. Let's just hope that Obama's admiration of the show remains at that and not influential when it comes to foreign policy.
For those of us who aren't the President of the US, we have to hold tight until April 24 when Game of Thrones Season 6 airs on Sky Atlantic.
