American metallers head-bang their way through a perilous skull-strewn landscape of fire and brimstone, navigating a classic car around a winding road while behind plagued by cobras and giant flaming eyes.
The new music video, which looks like a particularly mind-mashing acid trip, unashamedly announces that the California outfit intend to remain full-on and theatrical. The driving theme recalls their similarly Hunter S. Thompson-esq video ‘Bat Country,’ although this new piece is decidedly more hellish.
Guitarist Synyster Gates balances on the hood of the car while he spins out a speedy solo and simultaneously enjoys a swig of beer. At the same time foreboding, thunderous drums, off-key guitar riffs, bells, horns, and the odd growl from front man M. Shadows underscore a high energy rock ‘n’ roll melodrama. Whatever else you may think, you can’t say they’re boring. Check it out below.
Avenged Sevenfold are coming to Dublin’s O2 on December 3 to play their largest headline Irish tour date yet. Tickets are priced from €44.05 including booking fee, excluding fire, skulls, and other deathly paraphernalia.
