Aussie rock legend Jimmy Barnes to regale Dublin with songs and stories
The former Cold Chisel frontman will play Whelans, Dublin on 20 December
'Working Class Man' and Australian rock royalty Jimmy Barnes is set to return to Ireland for the first time since 2011 with a show in support of his memoir Working Class Boy.
The show features his children Mahalia and Jackie along with his son-in-law Ben Rodgers, and comprises a mix of heartfelt, stark monologues and stories with a lively serving of Chisel classics, solo songs and covers.
Barnes made his name with the pioneering Australian band Cold Chisel, whose energetic and surprisingly nuanced brand of "pub rock" dominated the tough, beer-soaked '70s and '80s Australian rock landscape.
Tickets for his "Stories and Songs" tour date go on sale on July 5 at 9:00 AM from Ticketmaster.
