Ash drummer Rick McMurray announces solo album
Burned As Witches is due out April 17 via Fierce Panda and Earblind Records.
Ash drummer Rick McMurray has announced the launch of his solo project Burned As Witches, which will kick off with a self-titled solo album, due out April 17 via Fierce Panda and Earblind Records.
The announcement is accompanied by the release of the band’s debut single ‘Hold Your Nerves’, out today.
Additionally, McMurray will launch the new project with three April UK dates in Sunderland, London and Manchester. Click here for more information.

According to the musician, Burned As Witches and its accompanying debut record is four years in the making, and has been widely supported by Ash members Tim Wheeler and Mark Hamilton.
Commenting on the announcement, McMurray said: “This feels quite surreal to have this thing I've lived with for so long to suddenly be out in the wild”
