Damien Rice has had quite a year. Ever since the release of his self-recorded and financed debut album O in early February, he has not only won great acclaim here at home, thanks to countless storming live appearances (not least his first Olympia date and his Green Energy gig) but has gone from strength to strength in the UK as well. With an Irish tour around the corner (in early December) and an appearance on no less than Later With Jools Holland on Friday November 29th (BBC1, 11.35pm), no better time to salute him with a stint as our Archive Artist of the Fortnight.
