Aoife O'Donovan shares two new singles, 'More Than We Know' and 'Captain's Clock'
Before releasing her solo music, American singer-songwriter Aoife O'Donovan was a contributor for radio variety shows and was the co-founder and frontwoman for string band Crooked Still.
Aoife O'Donovan has released two new singles, 'More Than We Know' and 'Captain's Clock.' Both singles were produced by Grammy-winning producer Joe Henry and released ahead of O'Donovan's upcoming 2022 European tour.
O'Donovan co-wrote 'More Than We Know' with Henry and features American folk duo The Milk Carton Kids. It is soothing yet sharp, while the other single, 'Captain's Clock,' has unique horn, bass, and guitar elements.
The American singer-songwriter's new collaboration with Henry is only the beginning of their musical journey. More music is said to be released in the coming months, as well as a behind-the-scenes discussion of their collaboration at Americanafest in September with Full Sail University engineer Darren Schneider.
In addition to her solo career, O'Donovan is one third of the group I'm With Her, alongside Sara Watkins and Sarah Jarosz. Their debut album, See You Around, was released in 2018, and together they have won a 2019 Americana Music Association Award for Duo/Group of the Year and a 2020 Grammy award for Best American Roots Song. O'Donovan has also been a featured vocalist for a variety of string orchestras and symphonies, including the The Goat Rodeo Sessions with Yo-Yo Ma, Stuart Duncan, Edgar Meyer, and Chris Thile.
In 2021, O'Donovan will tour the U.S., beginning in Massachusetts in July before touring the country until the end of October. Next year she will tour Europe, including shows in Belfast on January 28, Dublin on January 29, and Cork on January 30.
