Amy Winehouse set to quit music?
Diminutive soul singer Amy Winehouse has revealed that she’s ready to give up her music career to start a family.
“I know I'm talented, but I wasn't put here to sing,” Winehouse says in her Rolling Stone cover story. “I was put here to be a wife and a mom and look after my family. I love what I do, but it's not where it begins and ends."
She married her on-off boyfriend Blake Fielder-Civil in an unannounced ceremony in Florida last May. The pair have had a rocky relationship, and their months-long breakup was the subject of several songs on her latest album, Back to Black.
Pregancies and housewifery allowing, Winehouse will be appearing at the Oxegen Festival on July 8 alongside headliners Muse and Snow Patrol.
