Adele to sign most expensive music contract in history
The British musician is rumoured to have signed a £90 million contract with Sony.
Adele has reportedly landed the biggest contract in music history and signed with Sony for £90 million.
The international superstar has been signed to XL Recordings since 2006 with the label releasing all three of her albums.
If the rumours are true this would make Adele's new contract the most expensive deal for any female artist in history. It would also double the artists £85 million fortune overnight.
A source from Sony told The Sun: “We had an existing relationship with Adele in America. The deal is being worked on by Columbia in the US, but it’s worth £90 million and gives Sony the rights to release Adele’s future music exclusively around the world.”
A spokesperson for the singer said they had no comment to make.
Adele will headline her first festival this year topping the bill for Glastonbury 2016.
The singer has also just released her video for her newest single 'Send My Love(To Your New Lover)' which you can check out below.
