Adele explains album delay
Her new album is called 25 and she's sorry it took so long but "life happened."
An X Factor ad break over the weekend unexpectedly played host to a short snippet of what sounded an awful lot like a new Adele tune over the weekend, possibly signalling the imminent release of the follow-up to the gazillion-selling 21.
Now the 27-year-old songwriter has taken to social media to essentially confirm that yes indeed, new material is coming, and explain why it's taken four years. Essentially, she says, "life happened."
Rumours are now swirling that her third album will drop some time in November. We also brought you reports last month that she could be set to headline Glastonbury in 2016.
