Dublin Beer Festival: Over 50 breweries, distillers and cider makers are heading to the RDS this month

Stuart Clark looks forward to this month’s Dublin Beer Festival, which will welcome 50+ brewers, cider makers and distilleries from both sides of the Atlantic. Slainte!

Team Hop Press is counting down the days, hours, minutes and seconds to the Dublin Beer Festival, which takes place on September 12 and 13 in the Dublin RDS with 50+ breweries, distillers and cider makers bringing 200+ thirst-quenchers with them.

Building on last year’s sellout, it’s a truly international affair with barrels and bottles flying in specially from North America and all over Europe.

Leading the Irish charge are Blacks, Brennan’s Irish Stout, The Dew Drop Brewhouse, Dingle Distillery, Dungarvan, Eight Degrees Brewing, Falling Apple, Galway Bay, Hope, Kildare Brewing, Legacy Irish Craft Cider, Lineman, Lough Gill, Micil Distillery, O’Hara’s, Rascals, Rye River, Trouble, Urban, Wicklow and Wicklow Wolf.

Arriving in from points east, west, north and south will be 2 Crows, Arpus, Badin, Baxbier, Garrison, Brouwerij Hoop, Horizont, Kaapse, Lone Pine Brewing, Mad Scientist, Mason’s, Moersluetel, Pinta, Portland Zoo, Vault City and Weihenstephan.

From sours, brown ales and triple IPAs to witbiers, Irish reds and stouts of both the normal and imperial variety, you’re going to be spoilt for choice.

Add in loads of tasty food options and DJs Rob Smith, Shelly Gray, David Corway and Kelly-Anne Byrne spinning equally delicious tunes and it’s Christmas come early for beer, cider, spirits and cocktail aficionados.
