Bohemians have fundraised for Palestine various times in the past, including their popular collaborative shirt with Fontaines D.C. which has raised over €60,000 for Medical Aid for Palestinians.
The team also released a Palestine shirt in 2023 which, along with the support of Fontaines D.C., has helped to raise €13,000 for Palestine: Sport for Life. Bohemians say those funds will go to support a girls football team from Tulkarem Refugee Camp to compete in the 2026 Street Child World Cup in Mexico.
"Since the release of the 2023 Palestine shirt, we have worked with Palestine: Sport for Life to ensure proceeds are directed toward grassroots sport, creating opportunities for young people in Palestine," said Bohemians of the shirt.
Bohemians recently released a new shirt in honour of Palestinian footballer Solomon Al-Obeid, who was killed while waiting for food aid. All proceeds from sales of the shirt will go to support Sueliman’s widow, Doaa, and her five children.
"Killing athletes is an attempt to extinguish joy, silence community, and weaken the power of sport," Bohemians said.
"We must not let that happen. By honouring Sueliman, we can keep alive the ember of his talent - along with that of so many other athletes murdered in this genocide - so that a light endures to build a brighter future for Palestine once this horror has passed."
The shirt is available for pre-sale on the team's website until September 5.
