WATCH: Trailer for new Michael Jackson biopic Michael
Michael is set to premiere on April 24.
Universal Pictures have released their official trailer for the upcoming Michael Jackson biopic. Michael is set for release on April 24.
"The film tells the story of Michael Jackson’s life beyond the music, tracing his journey from the discovery of his extraordinary talent as the lead of the Jackson Five, to the visionary artist whose creative ambition fueled a relentless pursuit to become the biggest entertainer in the world," says the description of the film.
Michael stars Jackson's nephew Jaafar Jackson as Michael, making it his film debut. The production also features Nia Long, Laura Harrier, Juliano Krue Valdi, Miles Teller, and Colman Domingo.
The film was directed by Antoine Fuqua, the award-winning filmmaker known for films like Training Day and Olympus Has Fallen, as well as written by John Logan, renowned for Gladiator and The Aviator. It was produced by Graham King, John Branca, and John McClain - producers known for other Michael Jackson biopics like Thriller 40, Michael Jackson's This Is It, and Michael Jackson Live at Wembley July 16, 1988.
