WATCH: Stephen Graham stars in the new Noel Gallagher video
He dons a Santa suit for the High Flying Birds clip, which also features his wife Hannah Walters
Having wowed us all this year in Virtues, The Irishman and Line Of Duty, Stephen Graham stars in the video for the new Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds single, ‘Wandering Star’.
Shot in London and directed by Dan Cadan and Scully, Stephen’s Santa runs into a single mum, played by his real life wife Hannah Walters, who’s trying to ensure her kids have gifts at Christmas.
“We wanted to highlight the plight that can affect people, especially around Christmas,” Cadan reflects. “The pressures from commercial bombardment and a consumerist society, for a single-parent who will stop at nothing to ensure their kids feel the magic that so many take for granted. Stevie G is my muse and this is our third collaboration, my second with his incredibly talented wife Hannah Walters and they brought more to this than we could have dreamed – which is part of the package when working with these two actors. Their performances bring further to life Noel’s brilliant music and lyrics and we hope this fills you with Christmas cheer, and strikes chord enough for you to raise a glass to those less fortunate but equally as deserving.”
We’ll drink to that!
Currently running round Australasia with U2, Noel will be including ‘Wandering Star’ on the Blue Moon Rising EP, which is out on March 6.
