WATCH: New trailer for The Matrix Resurrections features Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss reprising their classic roles
Film number four in the franchise has a number of past actors from the previous entries returning.
A new trailer for the upcoming fourth Matrix movie, Matrix Resurrections, featuring Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss has just been released.
The teaser features a number of shots from the new picture compared with similar ones from the original trilogy.
Film number four in the franchise has many past actors from the prior films returning as well as new ones such as Yahya Abdul-Mateen II who will portray Morpheus, taking over from Laurence Fishbourne.
Other new actors joining them include Neil Patrick Harris, Jessica Henwick, Jonathan Groff, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Christina Ricci and Telma Hopkins.
Released in 1999, The Matrix was a genre-defining box office hit. It initially spawned two sequels, with the most recent film up until now being The Matrix Revolutions in 2003.
Although all of the prior films were directed by both of the Wachowski sisters, Lana Wachowski will take sole charge of the upcoming addition to Neo's saga. It will be her first film since 2015's Jupiter Ascending, which the two siblings wrote and directed together.
