WATCH: First trailer for 'Impeachment: American Crime Story' released
Golden Globe-winning actress Sarah Paulson is, in addition to her starring role, stepping into the producer's chair this series.
The first full-length trailer for Impeachment: American Crime Story has been shared by FX.
The Ryan Murphy follow-up to The Killing of Gianni Versace and The People V. O.J. Simpson is set to arrive on the network on September 7th. The show will chart the impeachment of former U.S. President Bill Clinton, following his widely publicised affair with Monica Lewinsky. When it happened, Clinton's impeachment was the first of a United States president in over a century (Andrew Johnson was impeached in 1868), but Murphy's series promises to re-situate the narrative, telling the story from the perspective of the women at its centre.

Sarah Paulson, often described as Murphy's muse (she has appeared in most seasons of the showrunner's American Horror Story anthology series and played Marcia Clarke in American Crime Story: The People V. O.J. Simpson), will take the role of Linda Tripp. She plays opposite Beanie Feldstein (Lady Bird, Booksmart), who will be portraying Monica Lewinsky. Clive Owen will play Clinton, with Edie Falco (The Sopranos) as his wife Hillary Rodham Clinton.
Also joining Murphy's star-studded cast is Annaleigh Ashford as Paula Jones, and celebrated character actress Margo Martindale as Lucianne Goldberg.
