The American drama will return for its highly anticipated eighth and final season in 2020.
American network Showtime has unveiled the first teaser for Homeland Season 8, the long-running spy thriller's final season. After a large break since the last season, which aired in early 2018, as well as several pushbacks, it seems the show will premiere again on 9 February 2020 in the U.S. with UK and Irish airings to follow shortly after that.

The show's final season finds a battered Mathison after months of confinement in a Russian Gulag. Mathison battles a fractured memory to help Berenson put an end to the "forever war" in Afghanistan.
In addtion to Danes and Patinkin, the final season will the return of familiar faces including Costa Ronin as Russian Yevgeny Gromov, Nimrat Kaur as ISI Agent Tasneem Qureshi, Linus Roache as David Wellington, Maury Sterling as Max and Numan Acar as terrorist Haissam Haqqani.
