The first trailer for a Netflix documentary that revisits the tragic events of Travis Scott's infamous Astroworld Festival has been released.
The clip for Trainwreck: The Astroworld Tragedy shows previously unreleased footage from during and after the concert. It also features first-hand accounts of attendees, police and the families of victims.
The show took place at NRG Park in Houston, Texas and left 10 people dead and hundreds more injured.
“Our desire to tell this story stemmed from a very simple question — how can 10 people die at a music festival and no one knows how or why such a catastrophic tragedy happened?” director Yemi Bamiro tells Netflix.
The events took place during the annual Astroworld Festival, which had been hosted by Scott in his hometown since 2018.
The show, which was live-streamed online by Apple Music, was initially meant to host 100,000 people, however, the capacity was reduced to 50,000 citing safety concerns.

In the aftermath of the tragedy, Scott, LiveNation and other festival organisers were sued. In 2023, a grand jury decided not to criminally charge Scott or anyone else involved in the event.
The upcoming documentary will be the second instalment in Netflix's Trainwreck, a collection recounting catastrophic events.
The first release of the series examined the 1999 Woodstock festival, which ended in chaos and left three people dead.
