Spike Jonze-directed Beastie Boys’ documentary gets first trailer
The Beastie Boys Story is coming to theaters on April 2 and to Apple TV+ on April 24.
The Spike Jonze-directed Beastie Boys documentary is coming to cinemas on April 3 and will be streamed via Apple TV+ on April 24 . After releasing the teaser earlier this year, the film got its first full-length trailer tonight. It features archival video as well as new footage of Mike D and Ad-Rock talking about the band’s history on stage.
Jonze is no stranger to collaboration with the renowned hip hop group. A long-time friend of the group, he collaborated with them on multiple music videos. Prior to the documentary’s release, Jonze will put out a Beastie Boys photo book, compiling shots from throughout their career. It’s out March 17 via Rizzoli.
