Salvable soundtrack by David Keenan released
Starring Shia LaBeouf and Toby Kebbell, the British boxing drama follows an ageing fighter dealing with battles both inside and outside the ring.
Dundalk musician David Keenan's soundtrack for the 2025 film Salvable has been released.
The soundtrack marks Keenan’s first time being the main composer of a film, and follows the release of his documentary Focla ar Chanbhás (Words on Canvas) earlier this year.
He had described the film scoring process as a "monumental journey" on Facebook.
The Dundalk-native took to his Instagram story to send “grá” (love) to those involved in the production of Salvable.
“Happy release day to Salvable. A wild adventure creating the soundtrack for this film and a new string to my mangled bow!” Keenan posted.
“Grá to all involved. To @paulgerardcampbellmusic and @petebaldwin for helping me map.”
He also thanked directors Bjorn Franklin and Johnny Marchetta in the post for reaching out to him about the project.
The musician has received critical acclaim, with his first album A Beginner's Guide to Bravery reaching No. 1 in the Irish indie Charts in 2020.
He is reportedly set to release his fourth studio album this year, with the lead single 'Amelioration' out now.
Keenan will play the Ambassador Theatre, Dublin on Saturday July 12.
