RTÉ announces the Irish edition of hit TV show The Traitors
Applications for the show are now open and filming is set for Spring of 2025
RTÉ in association with Kite Entertainment, have commissioned an Irish edition of hit reality tv show The Traitors. Competition show has been a huge success in the UK, United States and The Netherlands.
The game of trust and betrayal is set in a far removed castle, pinning twenty two strangers against each other in a game of strategy. A small group of contestants are and are tasked with eliminating each other as they compete for a grand prize of up to €50,000. “The Faithfuls” work together in hopes of exposing and banishing "The Traitors".
The show originated in The Netherlands as De Verraders. The Traitor UK has been very successful with Claudia Winkleman as the host. Earning a BAFTA, the show reigned in eight million viewers for its second season finale. The US version hosted by Alan Cumming was also popular, earning an Emmy.
The show is set to air on RTÉ One and RTÉ player. Applications for the show are now open and filming is set for Spring of 2025.
