RTE has revealed the line-up for this week's Late Late show. Michael Bublé, Siobhán McSweeney, Barry McGuigan, Charlie Bird & Climb along with supporters of Charlie's cause are all slated to join Ryan Tubridy.
Back with new music, the Canadian crooner Michael Bublé will perform tracks from his upcoming album, Higher ,live in studio. He will also chat to Ryan about his heroes Paul McCartney and Willie Nelson, why he might just quit music for TikTok and his son's reaction to finding out that another baby is on the way.
Derry Girls' star Siobhán McSweeney will discuss going home to Cork to film a new television series, how she ended up in a nursing home after breaking her leg and making saucy candlesticks during lockdown.
Irish boxing legend, Barry McGuigan will discuss making the ascent to Croagh Patrick in support of Charlie Bird's nationwide campaign in aid of the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association and Pieta House. McGuigan will dedicate his climb to not only Bird but also to his late daughter, Nika.
He will also speak about what it was like to take part in the Moscow Olympics in 1980.
Bird is also set to reappear on the late night programme following his billing last December where he announced the campaign. During the programme he bravely spoke of his battle with MND as well as his plans for the Croagh Patrick climb.
This Saturday morning, a host of family, friends and supporters will assemble to a hill or mountain to climb in their locality in solidarity with the famed broadcast producer. Bird will tune into the show live from Westport as he gets ready to make his ascent.
