Maverick Sabre to perform as Late Late Show welcomes back largest audience in nearly two years

The line-up for tonight's The Late Late Show has been announced – featuring the largest studio audience in almost two years. According to RTÉ, the audience will "include people from all walks of life including rugby fans, frontline workers, teachers, hairdressers and more from all corners of the country."

Maverick Sabre has been announced as tonight's musical guest – performing a track from his new album, Don't Forget To Look Up.

The release, which was selected as the Hot Press Album of the Month, has been described by Kate Brayden as "immersive" and "awesome" in her review for Hot Press.

"While gorgeous harmonies are the skeleton of the album, the 31-year-old’s love of soul is the backbone," she continues. "That being said, Sabre’s respect for hip-hop harks back to his New Ross days and remains ingrained in his aesthetic. His growth as a storyteller is most apparent on ‘Middle Of Eden’, a track which highlights his humble ability to share the microphone at the perfect moment.

'An artist who pulls others up the ladder with him and shrugs off ego, his production techniques have developed immensely, creating anthems with ease. It’s pure passion and power."

Also on the show are Grand Slam winners Jamie Heaslip, Peter Stringer and Fiona Coghlan – as the Irish rugby teams prepare for this year's Six Nations campaign.

Kildare GAA All-Star footballer Mary Hulgraine will discuss how she kicked her addiction to Oxycontin and alcohol, to make a return to the Kildare Senior Women's team.

Ryan will also catch up with 14-year-old harpist Úna Walsh, who performed on last year's Late Late Toy Show. Úna and her mother Barbara will share her extraordinary story about living with her hearing impairment, and how new technology has transformed her life.
