Jack Reynor to star in John Carney musical comedy Power Ballad
The Irish actor joins Paul Rudd and Nick Jonas in the upcoming Dublin-set film.
Jack Reynor will be featured in Sing Street director John Carney's upcoming musical comedy Power Ballad.
Currently in production in Dublin, the film will also star Paul Rudd and Nick Jonas. It is described as an “uplifting and music-driven story”, and follows a wedding singer, a rock star and the song that comes between them.
Details for Jack Reynor’s role and specifics of the plot are under wraps, Variety reports.
Power Ballad marks the fourth collaboration between Reynor and Carney after the musical comedies Sing Street and Flora and Son, with the latter world premiering to critical acclaim at last year’s Sundance festival, as well as the Amazon Prime series Modern Love.
Reynor is best-known for his leading roles in Ari Aster’s horror film Midsommar, Transformers: Age of Extinction and Prime Video’s The Peripheral.
His upcoming projects include Netflix’s murder mystery series The Perfect Couple, based on Elin Hilderbrand bestselling novel, as well as Season 2 of Amazon’s Citadel.
