Irish actor Emmet J. Scanlan to star in new Netflix series
Irish actor Emmet J. Scanlon has today announced he will be starring in Netflix's upcoming adaption of the Harlan Coben novel Fool Me Once
Peaky Blinder's Emmet J Scanlan is set to star in Netflix's upcoming 'Fool Me Once'. Netflix today announced a release date for the TV show.
The eight-part adaptation of American writer Harlan Coben's suspenseful novel will debut on the streaming service on New Year's Day 2024.
Fool Me Once follows Maya Stern (played by Michelle Keegan) a widow who is trying to come to terms with the brutal murder of her husband, Joe (played by Richard Armitage).
Detective Sergeant Sami Kierce (Adeel Akhtar) leads the homicide investigation into Joe's death while grappling with secrets of his own.
Emmet J Scanlan, who plays Shane Tessier, Maya's former Platoon Mate in the limited series, while Joanne Lumley stars as Joe's protective mother Judith.
Scanlan said in a post on Instagram that: "Can’t wait for yis all to see this".

This is the fourth book of Harlan Coben's to be adapted into a Netflix series following Safe, The Stranger and Stay Close.
'Fool Me Once' is scheduled for international release on Netflix January 1st New Year's Day.
