Ian McKellen shares positive updates on his recovery from recent stage fall
The Lord of the Rings actor broke his wrist earlier this week after falling during a performance of Player Kings in London.
Sir Ian McKellen has provided a hopeful update on his ongoing recovery after a fall during last week's performance of Player Kings at the Noël Coward Theatre in London.

The 85 year-old Lord of the Rings star, who reportedly fractured his wrist during the fall, thanked fans for their support and understanding and confirmed in a statement to Deadline that his “injuries have been diagnosed and treated by a series of experts, specialists and nurses working for the National Service.”
While today’s rendition of Player Kings has been cancelled, McKellen has assured audiences of a “complete and speedy” recovery. According to a spokesperson from the production, the show will resume performances as quickly as possible.
“We are delighted that Ian is recovering well, and look forward to him returning to the production as soon as he is ready. We will keep audiences updated regarding remaining performances this week.”
