The Go-Betweens: Right Here in IFI's Rock 'N' Roll Cinema
Kriv Stenders' music documentary The Go-Betweens: Right Here will screen as part of the IFI's Rock'N'Roll Cinema strand at Temple Bar.
The documentary reveals the wonderfully creative yet fraught relationships that existed behind the scenes of the influential band The Go-Betweens. It tells the true story of musicians trying to survive the harsh realities of an often exploitative music industry and their unpredictable, precarious lives.
The film will obviously appeal firstly to fans of the band but music aficionados of all kinds will be able to appreciate the roller-coaster of betrayals, triumphs, loves and losses that make up The Go-Betweens: Right Here. Stenders' investigation delves into the band members' lives changed by music and tells the story from the perspective of the members themselves.
The Go-Betweens: Right Here will be played as part of the IFI's Rock’N’Roll Cinema strand in Temple Bar on Saturday 22 September, at 6.20pm.
Tickets are available from the IFI website here - https://ifi.ie/the-go-betweens-right-here or by calling the IFI Box Office on 01-6793477.
