Dublin dance group BSD are crowned Ireland's Got Talent winners
Jason Byrne's Golden Buzzer act took home the top prize last night.
Swords-based dance troupe BSD went home with the prizes of €50,000 and a scheduled hour-long special on Virgin Media Television, as they were crowned the winners of 2019's Ireland's Got Talent on Sunday night.
Back in February, the group earned a guaranteed spot in the televised contest's semi-final, after receiving a Golden Buzzer from judge Jason Byrne.
150,000 people voted in this year's Ireland's Got Talent final, which took place at the Helix in DCU. BSD, made up of 39 dancers aged from 10 to 17, were one of several stellar acts performing on the night. Finalists also included acrobatics Rebel Acro, dance group Fly Youth, dancer Jake O'Shea, singer Sharyn Ward, 10-year-old dancer Fionn McMorrow, choir Sea of Change, and mother and son duo Sharon and Brandon.
Additional performances on the night came from Scottish singer-songwriter Lewis Capaldi, as well as last year's winners RDC dancing to a live performance by Lyra.
Members of BSD reacted with ecstatic joy to the news of their win, announced by host Lucy Kennedy.
