Dave Grohl Documentary Drops a Day Early
Dave Grohl’s two-part mini documentary dropped today, a day earlier then stated in a recent press release from Sony Music.
Part one of the documentary focuses around the rewards and challenges of dedicating one’s life to music. It delves into the dedication required to master an instrument and the lifelong relationship a musician forges with their tool.
The second portion of the film records a remarkable 23-minute one-man-band performance featuring Grohl and seven instruments. He moves from the drums, to the bass, guitar, key and more, playing each portion purely by memory. Every time Grohl made even the slightest mistake, he’d restart the take until it was absolutely perfect. The challenges he faced in creating this masterpiece mirror those which music students face each day.
An online interactive portion was also created, allowing viewers to watch the ensemble as a whole or each instrument individually. You can access website experience at .
