Cillian Murphy's son Aran joins Sharon Horgan in new HBO series Youth
Aran Murphy, son of Oscar-winning actor Cillian Murphy, is set to appear in Sharon Horgan's new HBO series Youth
Aran Murphy will star alongside Sharon Horgan in her new HBO series Youth.
Alongside Murphy and Horgan, Sharlene Whyte, Robbie Gee and Rupert Friend are set to feature in the new comedy series.
Youth follows a 50-year-old divorcee navigating life, love and family, as she juggles her dating life with taking care of her ageing parents and parenting her not-quite-grown-up son.
The series is produced by Horgan's production banner Merman, with the Irish actress starring in, writing and executive producing the show. Faye Dorn, Jim Kleverweis and Dawn Shadforth are also executive producers.
In 2016, Horgan created and executive-produced HBO's comedy series Divorce, starring Sarah Jessica Parker.
Youth is Aran Murphy's second project for HBO, as he featured in WAR alongside Dominic West and Sienna Miller.
Elsewhere, Murphy is set to make his big-screen debut in the forthcoming adaptation of Klara and the Sun, directed by New Zealand filmmaker and actor Taika Waititi.
