Amazon release first look of Graham Norton as host of LOL: Last One Laughing Ireland
LOL: Last One Laughing is a new comedy gameshow where famous faces compete for a €50,000 cash prize for a charity of their choice
Prime Video have released the Official Trailer for its upcoming Irish Original comedy series, LOL: Last One Laughing Ireland, which will feature Cork man and BBC presenter Graham Norton.
LOL: Last One Laughing is billed for a Friday 19th January release, hoping to cure viewers January blues. The series features a game of 'last man standing' where a series of comedians compete to make one another laugh, but not laugh themselves. If a contestant laughs, they will be eliminated.
A new gameshow format with a slew of familiar faces, from the presenter Graham Norton to the contestants, LOL Last One Laughing will feature: Aisling Bea, Amy Huberman, Jason Byrne, Emma Doran, Deirdre O'Kane, Catherine Bohart, David McSavage, Martin Angolo, Paul Tylak, and Tony Cantwell.
Using his trademark wit, host Graham Norton will oversee the 10 comedic stars, brought together to make each other laugh by using every unpredictable comedic tool in the box … without cracking a smile themselves. With the added bonus of some celebrity cameos, their performances will have viewers—but hopefully not the stars—laughing out loud. As the clock counts down and the tension rises, whoever can outlast their competitors will be crowned the first winner of LOL: Last One Laughing Ireland and win a grand prize of €50,000 for their charity of choice.
The trailer provides an insight into some of the crazy antics that the comedians do to make the others laugh, with Graham Norton explaining the rules of the game. New cameos were also revealed, with Zig, Zag and Ray D’Arcy who make up The Den; the long-running Irish children’s television show. RTÉ journalist, Anne Doyle and singing duo, Jedward will also try to make the comedians laugh.
The LOL: Last One Laughing format has become the most watched title of all time on Prime Video in Italy, France, and Germany, and has had successful local versions in Mexico, Australia, India, Spain, Canada, The Netherlands, Colombia, Argentina, Brazil, and Sweden.
The new trailer for LOL: Last One Laughing can be watched below. LOL: Last One Laughing will be released on the streaming platform on January 19th.
