Filming is underway in Dublin for Tall Tales & Murder, a new dark comedy crime drama starring Aidan Gillen and commissioned by RTÉ and BBC Northern Ireland.
The 12-episode series, split into two six-part instalments, is based on Caimh McDonnell’s bestselling Dublin Trilogy novels. The show follows a mismatched trio of amateur detectives as they navigate a surreal world of crime and misadventure.
The cast also includes Ella Lily Hyland (Black Doves), Philippa Dunne (Derry Girls), and Packy Lee (Peaky Blinders). The project is co-created by Stuart Carolan (Love/Hate) and Chris Addison (Veep). Addison will also direct the series alongside Neasa Hardiman.
Production is being led by Avalon (Catastrophe, Starstruck) in partnership with Metropolitan Pictures (Kin) and with support from Screen Ireland.
