The pop horror film follows a music journalist's descent into an unfamiliar and potentially dangerous world.
A24 has released the trailer for upcoming horror film Opus starring Ayo Edebiri and John Malkovich.
Written and directed by Mark Anthony Green, the story follows Edebiri’s character Ariel, a music journalist, as she’s invited into the world of big-time pop star Moretti. Played by Malkovich, the artist's remote property and strange friends heighten the writer's alarm, as she delves deeper into panic. The movie will debut at the Sundance Film Festival, beginning this month. Viewers can see Opus in theatres starting March 14.
Edebiri is known for playing Josie in the film Bottoms, and won an Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her performance in Hulu's The Bear. She also recently earned a DGA Award nomination for Outstanding Directorial Achievement for her contributions to the show's direction.
Other featured roles are played by the likes of Juliette Lewis, Murray Bartlett, Amber Midthunder and Tony Hale.
