What's happening for Culture Night in Louth this year

Culture Night returns to Louth this year, bringing a full evening of music, art, food and performance to venues across the county. Organised as part of the national Culture Night initiative, the event gives people a chance to explore local galleries, theatres, museums and community spaces, many of which open their doors for free.

This year's programme features a wide mix of activities for all ages, with something on offer whether you're after live music, hands on workshops or a quiet look round a historic building.

Here's are some of the things happening in Louth:

Night Moves Café, as part of Culture Night Late at The Coffee Box on George’s Street, Drogheda, is curated by SJ McArdle, and produced by Droichead. The lineup features an arry of local talent, such as folk duo GREENE AND SHINE, indie rocker Julian Knows,  and poet Dagogo Hart with singer-songwriter Peadar Connolly.

Also in Drogheda, Blas do Theanga presents a night of original music from three of Drogheda’s latest up and coming artists. Sophie Moon, KIDD and Téga, will take the Odd Mollies stage, performing music from their respective projects that have been released this year.

In the Dundalk library, you can join acclaimed Irish singer-songwriter David Keenan for a special Culture Night performance at, alongside Brendan McCreanor and Tadhg Mulligan.

The evening will bring together original songs, traditional influences and storytelling in an intimate setting, celebrating the strength and diversity of contemporary Irish music. Brendan and Tadhg will open the event with music rooted in folk and traditional music, followed by a headline performance from Keenan.

Join us each month for an evening of intimate live music, song and conversation from 9pm till late. Drop in, grab a coffee and something sweet, and enjoy the atmosphere.

Culture Night is free to attend and runs from early evening until late, with most venues open between 5pm and 9pm unless stated otherwise.
