WATCH: Bruce Springsteen's music video for new single 'Tuscon Train'

Bruce Springsteen has released a music video, accompanying 'Tuscon Train', the third single from his upcoming album, Western Stars.

Bruce Springsteen is one of the most iconic and respected figures in the history of rock and pop music.

This is the first single from the LP to have a music video which features Bruce Springsteen himself performing the song, through a grey-scale filter.

The song is similar to the first two singles, 'Hello Sunshine' and 'These Goes My Miracle', soaked as it is in '50s and 60's California pop inspirations like Glenn Campbell and Burt Bacharach.

'Tuscon Train' is a character-driven song, written by Bruce Springsteen himself, that follows a man escaping from San Francisco because he is “tired of the pills and the rain”, when the relationship between himself and his girlfriend turns sour.

“We fought till nothing remained," Bruce sings, "I’ve carried that nothing for a long time/ Now I carry my operator’s license/ And spend my days just running this train/ And my baby is coming in on a Tuscon train.”

In the video, Bruce is accompanied by his wife Patti Scialfa and a brass-and-horn band.

His solo album Western Stars is set for release on June 14. It is reviewed by Pat Carty in the upcoming issue of Hot Press. After this short departure from the E Street band, Bruce told an Italian newspaper that he will record a new album with his longstanding band in Autumn and promised a tour in 2020.
