Twitter Want You to Say More
Ever wanted to say something really badly but you just didn't have enough characters to do so?
Fret no longer as a little birdy has spoken!
The Twitter powers that be are dropping links and pictures from taking up the character count. Now inserting a picture or a web link to your Tweet could take up at least 23 characters, leaving relatively little for you to say.
Twitter is infamous for its 140 character limit with CEO Jack Dorsey eloquently labeling it as 'a beautiful constraint' whilst others see it as a huge hindrance to their Tweet process. Although the limit will remain the same at 140, Dorsey has made an exception by dropping the picture/link consumption of characters. You can now post as many pictures and links as you want without having to cut your sentence short, hooray!
The change is due to be implemented over the coming week. Happy Tweeting!
