Track of the Day: Maria Doyle Kennedy – 'Keeps on Spinning'
This is the second single from Doyle Kennedy's upcoming, as yet-untitled album.
Just a few weeks after the release of 'Cyane', Maria Doyle Kennedy is back with another exciting new track, called 'Keeps On Spinning'.
"Music is the only thing that is making sense right now," Doyle Kennedy says. "And luckily we have been able to get some of it on record." This latest offering from Doyle Kennedy is a genre-less gem, hallmarked by quirky blues rhythms and orchestral strings, and driven with haunting precision by Doyle Kennedy's warm rasp.
According to a statement, 'Keeps on Spinning' is "an attempt at capturing the nature of passion; feelings with the power to either ignite a fever, or shrivel everything to dust. Feelings that shift you to your bones while the world turns regardless."
