Tommy Tiernan announces 2020 national tour
The host of his own critically-praised improvised TV chat show on RTE 1 and star of the hit TV show Derry Girls brings his A Work In Progress Tour to some of his favourite intimate venues across the country.
Tommy Tiernan returns with his ‘notions for a new show’ tour, A Work In Progress. These are the ideas in their rough and ready state. Expect lots of experimentation and mischief as he tries to cram six months’ worth of thinking into a 90-minute stand-up comedy routine.
Speaking with Hot Press's Aoife Bradshaw late last year, Tiernan explained that working through his content as he performs it is all part of the plan.
“You have to care, otherwise there’s no point of being on stage,” he said. “It has to be vulnerable. And you make mistakes because you’re vulnerable, but you also make fantastic discoveries. That’s part of the attraction. You want to be slightly unhinged, slightly unprepared, and out of your comfort zone."
Tickets will go on sale this Thursday, 14th November at 10am here, for €20 each.
