Tom Davis - Mad hatter Q&A: Favourite item of clothing? My lucky Calvin's
Actor & Comedian Tom Davis takes our Mad Hatter Q&A...
Who would be the last person you would invite to your birthday party?
Kim Kardashian, she seems like a nice person but would upstage me on the whole thing. I can’t compete with that much sass.
Who would be the first person you would invite to your birthday party?
Romesh Ranganathan, he’s the perfect guest. Good banter, good music taste, vegan, so he won’t cause a big dent in the buffet.
Favourite saying?
What is meant for you will never pass you by.
Favourite record?
Bruce Springsteen – Nebraska.
Favourite book?
The Damage Is Done by Warren Fellows.
Favourite film?
Trains, Planes And Automobiles.
Favourite author?
Cormac McCarthy.
Favourite actor / actress?
Rosamund Pike. I’ve been fortunate enough to work with her twice, she’s just incredible.
Favourite musician?
Changes daily! Today it’s Luke Combs.
Most embarrassing moment of your life?
My life has been a constant series of embarrassing moments. Come see the show to hear a couple.
Favourite food/drink/stimulant?
Mandrill electrolytes. If you don’t know… Get to know.
TV programme?
The Sopranos.
Favourite TV personality?
Claudia Winkleman. A queen, a legend, should be protected at all costs.
Favourite item of clothing?
My lucky Calvin’s. More holes than a sieve but I wear them every show day.
Most desirable date?
Night in with my wife. Takeaway, film, just the two of us in our bubble.
Favourite method of relaxation?
Hanging with my daughter. She’s mad – it means I’ve got to be Zen.
If you weren’t pursuing your present career, what other career might you have chosen?
I’d still be labouring, I have no doubt in that.
Biggest thrill?
Tripping but not falling.
Biggest disappointment?
Football. Despite being useless, lazy, unmotivated, I think I’d have been a likeable and fun guy around the dressing room.
Your concept of heaven?
All the best people, all happy, all having fun. Loved ones, heroes, friends you never forgave but with you did. Redemption with a free bar and free junk food. That’ll do for me.
Your concept of hell?
Download festival.
What would be your dying words?
No. Not now…. IS THERE EVER A GOOD TIME?
Greatest ambition?
Be the best dad I possibly can be. The rest isn’t what it is.
Period of history you’d most like to have lived in and why?
Wild West would have been cool.
If you weren’t a human being, which animal would you have chosen to be?
A cat – lazy, chilled, yet running shit.
If you were told that the world was ending tomorrow morning, how would you react/what would you do?
Fuck knows, panic, lose my mind, shit myself, cry, drink. I’m not good in these situations.
Your nominee for the world’s best-dressed person?
Jacob Elordi.
Favourite term of abuse?
Cunts cunt.
Biggest fear?
Letting my daughter down.
Humanity’s most useful invention?
Fucking iPhones.
