The Murder Capital have met with the Palestinian Ambassador of Ireland, Dr. Jilan Wahba Abdalmajid.
Wahba Abdalmajid has been Palestinian Head of Mission in Ireland and the Ambassador since 2024.
The five piece were invited to the embassy during their European tour and met with Dr. Adbalmajid a few days ago.
"It was an eye opening conversation," said an Instagram post from the band.
"We spoke about the Palestinian culture, their literature and music, their food and art. We spoke about the future of her nation, and what life was like for her growing up in Gaza."
The Instagram post also encouraged their Irish fans to continue supporting Palestine.
"Every little bit of support we all show, in whatever form that comes, really does mean something. Don’t give up hope."
This comes after they had two gigs cancelled in Germany in May, following their refusal to remove a Palestinian flag from their set up on stage.
Frontman James McGovern shared a video to his social media explaining the situation to fans in person.
"This isn’t just a political statement, it’s a humanitarian statement. We’ve been saying that in interviews for the whole time that we’ve been speaking about it as people," said McGovern.
"We’ll be back to you as soon as we can. We appreciate all your support deeply, but most importantly, free Palestine.”
The group were among the thousands who attended a march for Palestine in Dublin City on Saturday, before their Iveagh Gardens show later that day.
The band are one of many vocal pro-Palestinian Irish artists. Last week Fontaines D.C. and KNEECAP announced an alliance in support of artists who are speaking up for Palestine.
The Murder Capital also commissioned a mural in Dublin City Centre in December. Alongside it they released a 7” Vinyl of their song 'Love Of Country', with 100% of the proceeds going to Medical Aid Palestine, earlier this year.
