Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran's collaborative single 'The Joker and the Queen' lands tomorrow
The announcement arrives after Ed Sheeran performed the track at Tuesday night's BRIT Awards.
After much speculation, Ed Sheeran has confirmed that longtime collaborator Taylor Swift will feature on his upcoming single, landing tomorrow (February 11th).
The release is a revamped version of his song 'The Joker and the Queen,' off of October 2021 album, =. This marks the first collaboration from the pair since 'Run,' a track off of Swift's chart-topping re-release of Red (Taylor's Version), in November of last year.
"'The Joker and The Queen' featuring my good friend Taylor Swift is out this Friday," the singer posted on Twitter yesterday morning, which has since amassing over 45,000 likes from the duo's extensive fanbase.
Sheeran had teased the news late last year, telling Capital FM that the reworked track would feature an American artist. Due to their past works, such as Swift's Red track, 'Everything has Changed,' and the folklore singer selling playing cards on her online store, fans had theorised the collaboration.
The announcement comes after Sheeran performed the track at the BRIT awards on Tuesday (February 8) night, following his acceptance of the Songwriter of the Year award.
Fans can pre-order or pre-save the single here.
